A Day In The Life Of A Fashion Student This submit is all about the ins and outs of a Fashion pupil’s day â€" from candles to cupcakes; and newspapers to new clothes. Image by roseswanphotography A day in the lifetime of a Fashion scholar; properly…where do I start? I’m not the type of Fashion scholar who walks around in an avant-garde bin liner dresses and designs loopy garments â€" let’s just clear that up from the offset! My Course I’m a Fashion Marketing & Branding pupil. This means that my degree might take me into nearly any career in trend. Whether it's journalism, styling for photo-shoots, or even working behind the scenes, there are many opportunities in retail and branding. The course focuses lots on the marketing side, so my day revolves around learning promoting, magazines and continuously watching YouTube movies from magnificence bloggers. Some of these previous activities are required for my course, some, however, usually are not. Other lectures may be really informative and you find out about so many amazing designers, blogs and magazines to take a look at for inspiration. Reading Blogs Another section of my day will be stuffed up with reading fashion blogs. Sometimes I write my own posts or take images with blogger friends from college. Between running a blog, lectures and lining up my sunglasses on prime of my dresser (oh, and let’s not forget nail painting and cushion arranging), I research. This means making what looks as if 1,000,000 mind-maps and referencing every single e-book, article and blog I learn. Every student knows that when it comes to the tip of the term and you need to bind your work, referencing is the most important nightmare if you aren’t prepared! I love it. It’s like having to follow styling daily, which is massively helpful. I’m always writing â€" whether or not it is for GKBC or my own weblog, I’m tapping away on a keyboard or my iPad. Other activities that take up my day are getting rid of spiders (What can I say? I’m the manliest housemate of the 7 ladies), making 1,000,000 lists, going to the health club and attempting to avoid a few of the locals. One of our favorite activities to fill down-time is filling online buying baskets to the brim with things that we love and might’t afford and never reaching the verify-out. One of my personal favourite obsessions is to outfit plan for the next day at university, taking in all of the factors of weather, occasion and strolling distance. Whether I’m feeling 90s hip-hop or Alexa Chung stripes, I’ll at al l times plan it. Turn as much as a style lecture in joggers and a hoody and you would possibly simply be exiled. I hope this gave a helpful perception as a day within the lifetime of a fashion pupil, and should you’re thinking it, I promise I’m not shallow and looks-obsessed!
